There are some diseases and problems that affect Rottweilers that we as breeders need to learn more and more about.
Recently I had a conversation with Sue and Collette of the Zorgs Rottweilers they mentioned another quite alarming disease called Canine Immune Mediated Disease. After discussing this for quite sometime I decided it was something to research into. Although many breed clubs (other breeds) are now doing seminars on this subject I haven't heard about it.
I would recommend finding the information and printing it out it does involve a lot of reading and going over.
I am sure if your a breeder then this will enlighten you into a very important issue that at the moment may not be concerning you with your breeding plan of the past but can we be sure of the future? There is no point in me trying to put into words what the experts in this field are far more qualified to do, so I shall leave it up to you.
A good breeder wishes to be armed with a defence and understanding of all health issues that may affect there chosen breed and the knowledge shared to eliminate any of these issues.
